How Headroom works
From exported records to a decision that can be reviewed.
Headroom is software for preliminary evidence. It does not certify capacity, approve projects, or operate equipment. It helps teams decide what deserves the next diligence step.
01Exported recordsCustomer-authorized files and read-only exports
to02Data-quality scoringFreshness, completeness, conflicts, source confidence
to03Obligation rankingSafety, utility, charging, fleet, reserve, runtime
to04Capacity stateAvailable, limited, preserve, blocked, unknown
to05Evidence recordReasons, gaps, attribution, replay package
Capacity is not a single number
Headroom separates the site decision from the proposed workload decision.
A location can be doing exactly what it should by preserving a higher-priority obligation.
| Site state | Workload result | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| PRESERVE | Deferred | Protected obligation comes first. |
| LIMITED | Narrow fit | Some evidence-supported window may exist. |
| UNKNOWN | Data request | Missing records control the next step. |
