About Headroom / Sinteag Energy

The evidence between a power claim and a decision.

Headroom turns authorized exported site records into a finding, with assumptions and supporting material another reviewer can examine.

Why this exists

Make the basis of a capacity decision easier to review.

A power provider, site owner and compute operator may each hold part of the picture. Headroom brings their supplied records and assumptions into one bounded review of the proposed additional load.

Evaluate one question first. Repeated use or embedding is considered only after the intended reviewer assesses whether the record is useful.

Development
Developed by Skip Middleton for Sinteag Energy
Intellectual property
U.S. patent pending. Provisional application filed in 2026.
Operating role
Read-only evidence software, not equipment control.

Headroom does not certify capacity, approve projects, provide financial assurance or decide contractual obligations automatically.

One site. One question. An agreed period.

First Site Evaluation

A complimentary, scoped review, subject to suitable records. Start with a high-level question; written authorization and data handling are agreed before records are shared.

Discuss a site question

An analyst maps the exports. Your engineer confirms the boundaries, timing, limits and assumptions.

Current scope and important limits

A defined, read-only review

The combined analysis follows supplied grid power, battery energy and diesel fuel profiles through a finite period, accounting for existing commitments, protected obligations and reserves. Headroom reads records; it does not operate equipment or need control credentials.

Software verification uses simulated records. Real-site applicability and external engineering review remain to be established. A finding is not a capacity certification, future-availability promise or revenue guarantee.

The supported equipment arrangement

One grid-connected site, one battery and one already-running No. 2-D diesel generator with an isolated, closed-return tank. Equipment facts, profiles, limits and permissions must be evidenced.

Export, startup, islanding, refueling, multiple assets, automatic dispatch and source-specific charging attribution are outside this method. A passing finite window does not establish repeatability or firm capacity.
